Springboard offers a range of yoga classes for persons both new and more advanced in their yoga practice. Our skilled yoga teachers, here in alphabetical order, are certified and teach from their own extensive practice and a range of yoga traditions. Come anytime to our ongoing classes. Teachers set their own fees which range from $10–$15 per class. If you sign up in advance for session based classes, the fee is lower than if you drop in. At Springboard, our teachers are committed to yoga being accessible to all.  Class descriptions and contact information for the teachers follows, please contact teacher directly to learn more about their classes.

DoveGentle Yoga with Dove

Dove’s classes are all gentle stretching integrated with yoga poses, all levels will find they will enjoy this class. Dove says practice is the way! Keep practice going and you will see changes in all areas of your life.  Dove’s classes are on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday mornings, 8:00 am–9:00 am; NEW Friday Morning Class from 9:00-10:00 am. Iyengar-based Yoga with Pat AlbrightPat Albright

Students of all ages, backgrounds and yoga experience are welcome to this class, emphasizing yoga basics: correct body alignment with the use of props and individual attention.  Classes are on Saturday mornings from 8:30 am–10:00 am. Michelle StortzYoga for Cancer and Chronic Illness

Michelle Stortz, C-IAYT, RYT500, MFA, is a certified yoga therapist specializing in yoga for cancer and chronic illness. She teaches in numerous medical settings throughout the Philadelphia area and augments this work with her studies in mindfulness/meditation, contemporary dance and Somatics practices and Reiki. Kate’s teaching focuses on the whole the person; body, breath and mind. She uses these concepts in her class to support unity within the individual student. Her role as a teacher is to inspire the student’s own self inquiry. Her training is in Classical Yoga which provides students with an open minded, but well disciplined experience. She provides the path to your edge and believes yoga is a healing and transformational practice. 


Yoga with Josh 

Josh Mitteldorf teaches an eclectic style of yoga, drawn from 45 years of his own practice.  Slow mindful stretches, vigorous kundilini breathing, and generous guided relaxation are part of his trademark.  His gentle voice and inspiring suggestions have been cherished by neighbors in Mt Airy since the inception of the Learning Tree in 1982. In other parts of his life, Josh is a computational biologist, and a daily meditator at Sprinboard, poet and blogger, pianist and father of two grown-up daughters, adopted from China.
