Mindfulness Meditation at Springboard Studio

Springboard Studio meditation space

The meditation program at the studio is open to all persons interested in cultivating mindfulness and  meditation practice from beginners to advanced practitioners. There are three primary components to program offerings here at the studio: The extensive public meditation program organized by the non-profit Springboard Meditation Sangha, Springboard sponsored learning programs in mindfulness and meditation throughout the year, and a People of Color Meditation Group led by Pamela Freeman and Sara Lomax-Reese which meets the second Sunday of each month from 12-1:30 pm.

People of Color Meditation Group

Founded by Pamela Freeman and Sara Lomax-Reese, the People of Color Meditation Group has grown in the last few years to include students from local universities, and participants from throughout the city.  The monthly meetings include both yoga and meditation. The schedule is as follows:

  • Afternoon meetings are on the 2nd Sunday of each month from 12:00 pm–1:30 pm.
  • The POCMG does not meet in July and August.
  • In addition, the POCMG sponsors retreats with national teachers which are announced as special events.

Pamela Freeman has participated in the Community Dharma Leadership Program at Spirit Rock in California and most recently is a student in their Dedicated Practitioner Program. Sara Lomax-Reese has been a leader in the African American community in promoting health and wellness through her radio program HealthQuest Live on WURD and HealthQuest Magazine. For more information, please call 215-844-7566.
